5 out 5 Stars Could Relate

By Janelle ~ My daughter wasn't diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder until she was 10 yrs old and we struggled to explain it to her. Two weeks after her diagnosis we read an article in our local paper about Emelie's Voice. I immediately bought the Kindle version for my daughter. You should have seen her face light up as she was reading it aloud! It brought years my eyes and I was very grateful that my daughter felt understood for probably the first time in her life. Thank you Em and Jennifer for making Jessa feel special.

5 out of 5 Stars  Beautiful Insights

By Karen K ~ I am a mom with an active child whose friends vary like the Texas weather in a given moment. A few of her friends live with autism in varying degrees. Reading Emelie's Voice gave me and other parents, teachers and even a few neighbors insight to what these beautiful souls deal with on a daily basis. Not only has it helped understand and building better friendships but also assisting in daily scholastic life.

Written from a child/preteen's view of her world and how she perseveres and experiences Life events, was quite an undertaking. This book really gives us a peek into one person's world who lives with autism. It is well worth a read for those who want a better understanding and to help someone with autism.

Emelie's Voice does such an amazing job of telling and illustrating the ups and downs of everyday life in a way that is easy to understand for children but some how isn't too simple to really hit home for an adult. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful insight - it is truly invaluable.
